Bigger and Bolder!

It seems like now-a-days, women (and some men) just want to add more and more to their makeup routine to make their lips look bigger, eyes pop more, cheeks look rosier etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that! Many people like the phrase “Less is more” but what if you do want more? Who is to tell you no? If you have an event, of course you want that highlight to be seen 25ft away. So go ahead and add a little more to your makeup routine and make the “more” show. Here’s a few ways on how to do it:

1. Add a little lip liner that’s darker than your lipstick color. It doesn’t have to be 10 shades darker, but a little contrast can give off the illusion your lips are bigger. It will also give the very popular “ombre” look, giving your lips a lot more definition and plump.
2. Do a darker crease on your eye makeup. Adding a little shadow to the crease can give the illusion your eyes are bigger. You can use a dark brown, black, or even a darker shade of pink, purple, whatever color combination you are using. You don’t need a lot, just a little extra to give a beautiful contrast along the crease. (Don’t forget to blend it!)
3. Use blush with your highlight and contour! Many times highlight and contour is not enough! So we add a little pink or peach undertones to add just a little glow and color. Blush is so easy to find and so easy to use. Right when used with contouring, you don’t even need a lot! A little goes a long way. Add it right below in between your highlight and bronzer with a soft blush brush. Lightly blend into the highlight and contour to give it a gradient look. Depending on the look you are going for or the type of event you are attending, you can always add more to make the color stand out and this will give more color and definition to your overall makeup!
4. Don’t forget the lashes! Putting on lashes can be a hassle, but aren’t they worth it?! Whether you use little lashes or you use dramatic lashes, it will give more power and volume to your eyes! From afar, they will stand out like Beyonce on the red carpet! The good thing about lashes is you can use them for any occasion such as work, parties or a night out. Don’t deny false lashes aren’t fun! 😉
5. Add some GLITZ! Women are just so obsessed with anything that shines right? So why not add some shine to the look? Glitter can be applied almost anywhere you’d like and some makeup products have glitter in it to give that extra “oomph”. You can either have a makeup product such as highlight, bronzer, eye shadow, lip gloss etc that has glitter but if you really want to shine, get some body glitter and apply it to your chest, shoulders and part of your arms. Surely, you will be turning heads in a dark room!

Of course, these are not the only ways to do a bigger and bolder look, but they are some of our favorites! Use these tips to your comfort level and event; and remember, it’s okay if sometimes “more” is more!
