Don’t Let Your Bad Day Define Your Outfit

November 15, 2016

Many of us tend to dress according to our mood of how we wake up in the morning. There are times we wake up so tired and sluggish and we let our appearance show how tired we are. Let’s change that. Let’s not let our mood define our outfits! Let’s make our outfit define our mood. Here’s what we mean. When you go to the gym in comfy shorts and a tang top that says something empowering and you have comfy running shoes, you are determined to kick some butt at the gym and have a great workout. When you get dressed for work and you wear a T-shirt and sweats (considering your job lets you wear this to work), you obviously will feel too comfy to want to work. That’s more of an outfit for when you want to have a day to just relax at home all day and watch TV and movies. So, when you pick an outfit in the morning, try and make a statement of who you are and what you want to do that day.

Let’s say you had a rough night and you really don’t want to get all dressed up the next morning. You dress in some of you most comfy clothes, no makeup, and hair in a messy bun. You will feel this “rough night” feeling all day. Rather, get a little dressed. Put some makeup on, a cute little dress, or even some jeans with cute shoes and a cute top! Don’t feel like doing your hair? Dry shampoo is a life saver! Or put it up in a cute bun with a headband, or whatever you like to accessorize. Put some earrings on, a cute necklace, or a cute bracelet.

It’s been proven that when you dress up, even just a little, your confidence tends to rise. You feel better about yourself because you know you look good. You feel like all eves are on you and they are! Your work will be better because you have that “I can do this” look and feeling. And best of all, no one will be able to tell you had a rough night or whatever the case may be. You don’t have to spend 45 minutes in slapping on a bunch of makeup and put on your best gowns. No! But simply dress to the point where your confidence level rises and you know you will WERQ like the boss babe you are.
